For a knocked-out tooth: Try to gently rinse it without scrubbing and place it back in the socket if possible, or keep it in milk or saliva to preserve it.
For a chipped or broken tooth: Collect any broken pieces and bring them with you. Rinse your mouth with warm water and take ibuprofen to reduce pain.
For severe tooth pain or swelling: Apply a cold compress to the outside of your jaw to reduce swelling and take over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen.
